Coworker is a pathological liar

Been at the new job about 3 months. One coworker (f40) had been there about 6 months . 3rd coworker (m43) has been on the job about 10 months.

For some reason whenever we are shooting the shite , (m43) just casually slips in a lie “ I’ve been here like a couple years”. He’s done this at-least twice , after the first time I asked someone who’s been there 4 years, and they confirmed He’s less than a year.

It’s a such a strange thing to lie about . He’s insecure because I think he got a dui in the past ( possibly) or totaled his vehicle and now rides a motorcycle.

I’m an easy going guy, but it’s starting to piss me off that he keeps lying about it.
I feel like calling him out about it, but I think I’m his only podnuh at work. He’s a slacker and I’m more alpha than him.
He’s one of those guys who always talks about how they’re putting in 12 hours days, but some how only spends 4 hours in the office and no work gets done. I sat his arse down in my office one day when he popped off to me about something not being on the server that he wanted. Told he him better come talk to me face to face instead of the passive aggressive shite, or else we would have a problem. His office is next door. He tucked his tail.

Should I call him out or just ignore it until the boss realizes he’s full of shite?

Tldr: beta co worker is lying about how long he’s being with the company. Tired of the pointless lies from insecure douche.
