Court Rules UVA Rape Accuser "Jackie" Must Turn Over Correspondence with RS

I bet Rolling Stone tries to settle. Hard. I hope UVA doesn't so we get to see how "journalism" in the social justice movement works.
AND let us all remember being called rape sympathizers and haters of women when we wanted the police to actually investigate instead of just shutting down fraternities and dragging individuals through the mud

Rolling stone may not have the money to settle. It let stories like this happen (and doing things like idolizing the Boston Bomber) because they are bleeding financially.

i'm not sure, but i think if the tort is found to be intentional it's outside of bankruptcy

that's correct. Intentional tort judgments are non-dischargeable debts.

The Post has done the most, and the best, reporting on the scandal. Unfortunately, they signed an agreement to protect her identity at the outset. That agreement remains in effect.

She'll never be held responsible in court, unfortunately.
There's no money there.
And that's what bothers me about efforts to protect her identity. The media, in effect, is letting her off the hook for her outrageous falsehoods. They're allowing her to skip out, scotch free.

I would guess behind closed doors they are furious this happened, since it will be a constantly specter over any future similar exposés. Publicly they have to toe the line though.

Women who falsely claim rape do irreparable harm to actual rape victims. Other WOMEN should put them on blast and make it something that is absolutely not tolerated.
