It's understood that I'm driving (my vehicle or hers), unless I'm drunk or I specifically ask her to drive. It has nothing to do with being "manly", she's just a terrible driver.

I drive. I am not the cook or room the attendant. I am the fricking captain of this ship.

My brother will not drive if his wife is with him. The only time he drives is when he is alone. Anyone else and he would rather not drive.

The only time my wife drives and I'm a passenger is if we are on a long road trip and I need to catch some sleep before I continue driving again. I have a difficult time actually going to sleep when she is driving, but a 30 minute nap will usually work for me. This exception only applies if we have a long stretch of interstate driving that does not require driving through any major cities.

I would prefer to drive because my husband daydreams.

My SO usually drives when we're in Baton Rouge because
A. she has a nicer, cleaner, safer, more reliable vehicle (small SUV to my shitball sedan)
B. her car can haul more stuff
C. f&%k driving around Baton Rouge traffic
D. she's my DD
E. It means I don't have to listen to her complain about my driving.
F. I can take a nap

Is it Beta to have a personal chauffeur?

When we go on a road trip, I generally drive in the morning, her in the evening. When we're anywhere other than Lafayette or Baton Rouge, I usually drive since my sense of direction is better.

Probably split for us.

Whoever decides not to drink at dinner drives. Unless we Uber.

Personally, I love the commitment to his cause.

How to ensure the ole lady always drives when yall go out and you can get hammered? Set a precedent where she ALWAYS drives everywhere...and you always get hammered

Bravo sir.

Mrs P doesn't drink often and I've got a crippling addiction to the sauce so she drives quite a bit.

Sitting in the backseat is bullshite.
I honestly hate to drive, I'd rather read or research places to eat where ever we are going. Wife is a good driver so I would say its about 50/50.

But a good captain will let the driver think he's the captain.

Buddy of mine, all pictures i see on social media, he's always in the passenger seat while his wife drives...her "bestie" is present, he's in the back seat

Doesn't drive, selfies in the car, pushed to the backseat...may want to look for a new buddy; he's not a man.

Having a chauffeur is awesome. That said, my wife is a terrible driver and can not be trusted. If she was a good driver, I'd be in the passenger seat.
