That's just halos from bright stars that happens when you stretch the histogram i should have taken more time to remove in processing .

This is a 12 inch Newtonian telescope with a Dobsonian mount.

It uses a mirror instead of a lense. You can get one of these for around $1400.00 . The larger the lense or mirror will gather more light for you to see.

Warning: Viewing the stars and galaxies is tough in SE Louisiana. Summer weather is horrible , it is hard to find a dark sky here, and the humidity makes it difficult to see. The fall and winter seasons are better. 10,000 feet up in the Rockies in northern New Mexico is mind blowing as far as seeing.
