Good chance I would be on a gurney in 5 minutes
My brother works out with a lot of those guys at a gym here in town. He's 5'10 and maybe 180lbs and he holds his own. It's for exercise, not professional though. Yves Edwards is one of the guys.

Someone would have a hard time getting a good hit on my head. It's simply a matter of angles. If I'm just standing there, then I'm done. But if I can manage to keep someone at a fair distance away with them punching well over their head level. They can't punch at the same strength as someone whose closer to their size. And it's not like is just let him punch me in the head. All in saying is if I can keep him from getting me down or getting me in a hold, I' think iD have a chance to last 5 minutes.

Muscle memory is important when your muscles need to act quickly to achieve something like hitting a baseball. It is also important when you need to be very precise at something like playing the guitar. Muscle memory is not all that important when you literally just need to keep your arm close to your body. You are giving these guys far too much credit.
It is extraordinarily important when throwing punches and turning your hips from one side to the other in order to deliver combinations properly. If you have to think about what you are going to throw a trained striker will hit you three times, hard, before your thought is finished. Muscle
Memory is of paramount importance in all of the fighting sports

Jesus Christ. Maybe now you are just arguing to argue. I've said time and time again the guy is not fighting back, he is literally covering up and keeping his limbs tucked tight so the fighter can't grab a hold of one, none of which requires muscle memory. That is literally all he has to think about.

Just survive the 5 minutes without getting knocked out or tapped out.
Yes, on the condition I get to pick who I fight against. With GSP I could just lay there, he'd lay on top of me, an it'd last the 5 minutes. It would be incredibly homosexual and everyone would pay lots of money to see it. At the end everyone would think what the frick did I just watch that for, and Dana White would call it one of the greatest PPV's ever.

So I can run around? I can run a sub-5 minute mile, so do I have enough room? Can he catch me?
I'll say NO because he'll likely out-smart me, trap me, take me down, and I'll scream like a girl (or a Beta).

Yeah he is wild. Just take him down or let him take you down. Get away from kicks. Wrap up and use active defense.

And the guy ran his face in his knee

Anyone other than KBeezy that thinks they can last 5 minutes is delusional

So we've established that pretty much everyone here would not last 5 minutes with a flyweight. So what's the threshold that must be met in which a flyweight would not be able to finish off an untrained combatant or would even lose? There is a limit.
No one can get on here and tell me that just because a flyweight is highly trained he's going to submit a gorilla. Size matters at some point.

I don't think someone can keep all limbs tight and protect their neck from chokes while also ignoring punches and knees to the ribcage/liver... for 5 straight minutes.

It's so simple huh?

No, and people here not named KBeezy should have the same answer.
