Could we see TS Alpha 2.0?

We got 9 in the bucket through the end of July, which is on par with 2005. However, ACE so far in 2020 is only about 1/3 of what ACE was at this point in 2005.
It sure seems like getting back into the Greek Alphabet would be a fitting conclusion to 2020.

By this point in 2005 there were three hurricanes including a cat 5 and a cat 4
This season has mostly been bitch storms or wasted name storms outside of a couple of cat 1 hurricanes.

The MJO for mid August will have a slight uptick in action so who knows. Gonna take a hell of a run the next 50 days.
