Too much money spent on the lower class. Charity hospitals, welfare, etc. eat up a larger percentage of the our states revenue. This group also pay$0 tax so they are only takers. Any politician that tries to address this is immediately called a racist and goes into hiding. La either would have to have a mass influx of middle class or a large chunk of the lower class move into middle class. And, of course, we are one of only two southern states shrinking in population and it ain’t the lower income leaving.

Complacency, corruption, and crooks are the mantra of this state
This is so true. With my job over the last 32 years came promotions that required moving to different locations. I’ve lived in Texas, Arkansas, Florida, Oklahoma, Colorado, and now Alabama. Louisiana is governed or managed the worst by far. It’s really sad because it shouldn’t be this way. With all the avenues Louisiana has to generate revenue the state should be one of national envy and not chuckled at by the rest of the nation. I love my home state but the residents still living there deserve better. The state of Louisiana reminds me of LSU football in the fact we can win when we have an outstanding head coach.

Or it’s similar in the fact that all these years LSU has had the talent and pieces there but can’t sustain it and win more than they do.
