They must not know how powerful some of these characters have gotten.
Magneto has been able to rip the iron out of people's bodies. That is, the iron oxygen binds to in RBCs.

That's what I'm getting at, if a "street level" character could kill Thing or Power Man(Luke Cage) he could snip a Saiyen body.
I'm not saying he could get in position to do it easily...but if he were, over.
That's assuming the saiyen bodies are even as strong or resilient as Luke Cage or Thing.

What are the power levels of any of these marvel characters? What exactly is the unit of a level of power?
That was my point in my first post. It is difficult to really quantify what these characters can do within their respective universe. Then you try and compare that between platforms?
The only way you can really compare them is by similar tasks throughout their respective canon. For example, Vegeta blowing up a planet with a single blast long before Akira Toriyama dreamed up the higher levels of Super Saiyan.
I agree that the psychic characters would create a particular problem. This is why I think Goku's only real shot is to instantly blow up the planet while teleporting.

That's the thing about this argument.
The fighters in the DBZ universe are pretty much all the same.
They don't have the powers that exist in the comic universe.

Supersaiyens like Vegeta and Goku can lift/press about 40 tons. That's the translation of power level.
They can absorb blows up to roughly 40 tons as well.
They can generate power from their ki far beyond that to augment their power (similar to iron fist). I estimate the power level fully loaded is roughly equivalent to Thor when overcharged or Hulk when mildly perturbed.
This puts top level Goku still weaker than superman and silver surfer.
