Could a Ski Hill, a Theme Park and 40 Water Slides Save the American Mall?

American Dream, the most expensive U.S. mall ever built, opened Friday. It is the first in the U.S. to devote more space to entertainment, restaurants and theme-park rides than to traditional retail. Given that more than a few people have declared the mall dead, the entire industry is glued to the spectacle to see if its formula could save the American shopping center from oversupply and the rise of online shopping.
It might work until people get bored and move on to something else.

If it has an Aladdin's Castle and a Spencer's it may survive.

the internet with lower prices then box stores and free shipping and no taxes ended the whole idea of large malls
all they are good for today is a place for teens to hang out and trash while perving on girls

Nope.
As long as there are stores in said mall that brings in loads of culcha, the place will not survive.

I had a girlfriend that was from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. The mall there had a water park and amusement park on the inside. The place was packed. But this was in the days before Amazon, so not sure how it’s doing now.

Someone needs to tell the Lakeside Mall in Metry that the mall is dying because that place is always packed.

This sucker has been under construction for 16 years...bankrupt and taken over by new companies twice I think---
it will cost you to park--increasing amounts according to number of hours but on days when there is a game at neighboring Giants stadium parking will be $30 for any amount of time.
It was an ugly eyesore of 70's oranges and browns and abandoned for years before finally getting a facelift and PARTIALLY opened. I don't predict success.
