The village is whatever you want to pay. Older non gated will be $900-$1500 depending on the size. Newer and gated $1100-$2300 depending on the size.
We pay $2300 for a 2 story townhouse with 2 gar garage. Not buying until we know for sure we're going to stay here.

Baw 2300 is ~400k loan with PMI. Which means you can get a badass house!
What's stopping yall?

Yeah we can afford pretty much whatever we want. And my wife is likely getting a $20k raise in January and I'm getting similar in April
What's stopping us is career opportunity. In January we will know if we're staying here another 2 years or moving to possibly Denver or new orleans.

Cityline is Richardson. The workplace is about 1.2 miles from Cityline.

No but like 2 miles east is. Tons of the same cookie cutter $400k homes you see in McKinney, Frisco, etc. The best public golf course I've played in the area is at firewheel right there.
Garland starts to get bad on the south and east sides of town.

This is one of the places I would want to look at and consider for sure.

Yeah it's a good job, but it would be last on the list between the 3. We go back so often anyways.

The main driver is that I work in a technical field and I know I need to get in to management and get experience there because I won't be able to keep up with all the newest stuff as I get older. I am thinking about the future.
I don't know that management will be possible at my current company anytime soon.
But DFW compared to BR plus what you just said...I don't see how you can pass that opportunity up.
You can likely afford a cheap and quick weekend vacation back home 4-5 times a year if you're getting a nice raise out of this, and you still get to see family once every 2-3 months if it's something you feel is needed.

I live smack dab in between Frisco and Uptown. Everything is within 20 minutes.

They're redoing a bunch of it right now. Not sure what though. They closed the country club and moved the big gym to Greenville Ave right down the street.
The country club is sweet because it's cheap but really good and you get a discount.
They have softball fields and a football field so you'll see leagues popping up. They have events and social clubs for anything you can think of, foodies, movie buffs, fitness people, etc. There's a drink one and they'll take trips to breweries together.

Yeah I bet
I always laugh when I'm leaving for work and see everyone stuffing backpacks into their cars.
