For the past 3 years the price of oil hit rock bottom...even hit -$30/bbl.......

now all of a sudden the POTUS can control the price oil oil and the price of gas at the pump and there is a low supply of oil while there are 100's of tankers sitting offshore full of oil and tank farms across the nation are full of oil???

Well Brandon can pay workers to sit at home, how do you think that affects the price of gas?

Yes. All of these burdensome regulations and the cancellation of various pipelines is someone else's fault.

O&G is controlled by supply and demand

If supply is cut, the price bbl increases. If there is an oversupply, price will decrease. Simple economics baw.

I could not have said it better myself. Couple that with paying people to say home puts us where we are right now.

Trump enabled the pipeline and cut so many useless regulations out to help the economy.

He can't set it. However, by regulation and executive order, he can influence it. His EOs at the beginning of his term reduced US production, causing a lower supply without lowering demand. This raises prices of oil and gas.

I'm pretty sure the biggest part of the President's job is to wake up and call Exxon every morning with where their prices should be set, so you are wrong

Hey dipshit, POTUS does NOT directly control the price of gas or oil.

POTUS does, however, control how much stability there is worldwide with his actions and words. The world expects war because of how weak Biden is, which causes the price of oil to skyrocket based on speculation. Also, OPEC feared Trump and laughs at Biden.

You’re welcome for Oil Prices 101.

In a sense, no, POTUS cannot sign a bill or pull a lever and fix the issue.
However, he has made the issue much worse by putting a moratorium on lease sales, killing pipelines, and begging OPEC to help. Oh and he let Russia open their pipeline that bypasses Ukraine. Guess the check from the Ukrainian oligarchs bounced.
If Trump were in office this would not be happening. Even if it was he would not be pointing fingers at the O&G behemoths.

No. Your knowledge about random internet message board posters is on par with your knowledge about Biden’s effect on gas prices.

Politicians do not control the price of oil. But they do control policy. That policy can cause the price to go up or down. On the going down side it tends to be a lot slower but on the going up side that policy can have very fast effects.
