Coronavirus team colors

I've noticed that several networks like FOX, CNN, and Bloomberg are sporting purple and gold graphics and backgrounds as coronavirus colors.
Has anyone else noticed this?
This is bad messaging and may suggest that the coronavirus is "winning".

Who's fricking idea was it to assign a color? Talk about something that will help not a damn thing.

Corona Chan has been around for awhile already. It's red and purple/black for the batwings.

The constant scoreboards on the news channels is tacky af and in bad taste.
Also they are using purple because in their minds it’s neutral/bipartisan/blue+red
