Idk
But you are commenting on the confirmed case mortality of covid, while inferring its worse than the flu when you dont know the confirmed case mortality of the flu

You can go to any healthcare provider and get a flu test. Can you do the same with Covid-19?

Not yet but we're getting there a hell of a lot faster than it took for flu tests to become common.

My point is the mortality rate and hospitalization rates are completely flawed.

You brought up how long it took to create flu tests. That’s because no one really gave a shite. This thing is such a made up big deal that we have a ton of grant money going to find a vaccine and treatments. The whole world is basically working on it at once. That’s a lot different than the situation for the flu. Don’t be so damn defensive.

National guard rumors heating back up. I’ve seen it from three separate people today that friends of friends are being activated

I don't think it's any great secret that the national guard is being used in states all over the country. For the most part, they are just doing logistics, setting up field hospitals, delivering supplies, etc.

Where is the Commander Data update for today

I am right here my buddy. Oxygen saturation is up to 94. Temperature at 99.7 but I take tylenol every so often to keep the fever manually. They are trying to take me off the cough syrup with hydrocodone but I am not too happy about it. It is what it is though. No more brown iron in my IV. They want me to follow up with a specialist when I leave here about the anemia. Ready to go home baws and bawettes but still need to get a little better first. I miss my family but this we will all be over soon.

I was very impressed with the staff here at BMC in Birmingham. Good people that treat you like you are more than a number or statistic. I am ready to come home for sure but I will always be thankful for the doctor and nursing staff that made me feel like I was loved and they made me feel like my recovery was important to them.

The doctor wants my blood oxygen to be 98 but 95 will be a victory. I appreciate all of your prayers and well wishes. You guys are the best.

Well it's well known that the mortality rate of seasonal influenza is 0.01 percent. Not sure if that is what you are talking about though. Influenza has a really low mortality rate and that is even they count all pneumonia deaths as a flu death even if its bacterial pneumonia.

I love to hear this. Just so you know, I give a Commander Data update every evening at dinner and you have been in my prayers. Everyone chuckles when I say your name.

I know you were super reluctant to go to the hospital but I'm sure you are glad now. Glad to hear they treated you well. I have long had a similar fear of hospitals but had a similar experience as you a few years ago when I had to have emergency surgery. It couldn't have been a better experience aside from the almost dying part.

That is the estimated mortality rate

It seems impossible to find the confirmed case mortality rate for the flu

Good for you, Data! Glad to hear all is progressing well. Keep it up, one day at a time. Like Maddogs above, I’ve got my wife coming home and asking how “the guy on your board” is doing. You’re getting to be a household celebrity around the OT

Stay strong, brother!
