I agree with Billy Bob, to an extent. Sounds like he didn't want his acting background mentioned and the guy mentioned it. He probably doesn't want his cinematic background overshadowing his bandmates.
The point is he could have laughed it off at the beginning and said "look, lets talk about my music only" and I am sure things would have been fine. He was an a-hole from the VERY first question!

I'm guessing Halle Berry is the main draw here... not Billy Bob. Again, just a semi-important supporting role.
I just watched it again and didn't even realize it was him, I was too busy watching her.

I've only seen a few minutes of Slingblade and I wasn't interested and don't think of him as being a badass or being a badass actor based on that. And many of his other roles-- Armageddon comes to mind-- his role is at best a semi-important supporting role. Nothing against him, he just seems like a run of the mill supporting actor / character actor... not trying to corner you either, btw, just honestly curious if he's ever done anything noteworthy.
Bad News Bears is AWESOME but Bad Santa is the greatest Christmas movie ever made and a top 10 all-time comedy. Watch those 2 and then tell me he is a "run of the mill supporting actor / character actor".

he was so obviously high on drugs…it doesn't excuse his behavior …think the DJ did a good job of handling it

I met him during Monsters Ball filming. He approached me and shook my hand. He seemed like a genuinely good dude at the time. Albeit we all change. Other noteworthy titles are Bad Santa (did awesome IMO), Homegrown (good flick), and minor role in Tombstone.

How dare you mention Homegrown and his TINY role in Tombstone and leave off Bad News Bears which is a fricking HILARIOUS movie!

What an asshat. Sheesh.
You can tell his bandmates are like "Great, Billy's gonna pull this shite again..."

This is an old arse interview.
BBT had specifically told the interviewer to not mention his acting career. The interviewer did. So BBT trolled the first part of the interview and you can tell he did so just by looking at his face. He goes on about a damn monster magazine and at first can't even keep a straight face but keeps it together as he gets deeper into the troll attempt. Then he finally loses it.
He appears a bit out of it, probably high as shite, so when the interviewer first started out by going into specifically what BBT had told him not to go into, he got his big girl panties all in a twist. Should he have let it go? Probably. But it seemed like the interviewer blatantly ignored instructions so I can see where I would be pretty aggravated as well. The whole part where he makes his band play a song without him is the shittiest part of his interaction with the interviewer and is really just a slap in the face of his band.
I have heard other interviews with BBT and he is perfectly normal and congenial. For chrissakes, he actually co-commentated for almost an entire Cardinals game even though he was only supposed to be there for a few innings because (1) he's a Cards fan, and (2) he was enjoying his time with the wonderfully besotted Mike Shannon.

How can you just "kind of like" Bad Santa? SMH! I forgot about Pushing Tin but IIRC is pretty good!

Not a movie but have y'all seen FX's Fargo? It's great and he's fantastic in it

Funny thing. I would to buy that same monster magazine as soon as it came out. I would be waiting for it. I also entered the same monster contest. I used my plastic Creature model, put him in a big, homemade, swampy display and won a cheap plastic plaque for winner at the local Ben Franklin store. I wish I still had them, the plaque, the display, and the magazines.

When he was filming Monsters Ball in NOLA he and his entourage came in to eat at Mr. B's. There was about 12 total. BBT was very laid back and cool. He allowed us to get a picture with him and talked for a couple of minutes. Now his crew was a bunch of pretentious pricks. They had some high end label bottled water on the table but they refused to pour it themselves and had a shite fit when the waiter forgot to refill the glasses for them. Made a big F'ing scene. BBT apologized to the waiter for their behavior. Much respect
