Continued: Toyota Tacoma thread: Updated

After reading all of the pro-Tacoma posts in this thread:
Why are Tacomas so popular
...I decided to go check them out in person.
The last Toyota I had was a 1986 4x4 pickup. I loved it, but it was small.
The new Tacomas are at least as big as full size trucks were back in the 80s & 90s.
The biggest selling points for me are:
Resale value
Easier to maneuver
Still under $40k new
Tighter to drive than full size
I’m not a new car guy, so I started looking on used lots, but quickly realized how dumb that is. A 2016 TRD Off Road (the trim I want) with 45K miles can be had for $29k - $32k Whereas a new 2019 can be had for $35k - $38k. It just seems foolish to buy used if you’re looking for a 3rd generation Tacoma.
I’ve narrowed it down to the TRD Off Road with 5’ bed in these colors:
Quicksand
Calvary Blue
Cement
Which color?
Keep in mind that it needs to go well witn chrome truck nutz.

I like the quicksand color.
I don’t like the long bed Tacoma.

Does it come in black or gunmetal?
Posted on 2/28/19 at 3:57 pm to Eli Goldfinger
2 of those are hideous.

I just bought one, and looked at all 3 colors. I thought the blue was god awful. Reminds me of a cop car. The cement looked weird to me. Of the 3, I was leaning toward the quicksand but didn't love it.
Ended up finding exact package I wanted in the color I wanted, white.

It comes in black and a charcoal gray.
I try to stick with lighter colors to hide scratches easier.

If you aren't adding any aftermarket equipment, i'd go quicksand. If you intend to customize I'd go calvary blue.

2010 Tacoma owner here.
Love my truck, still going strong with no issues at all.
I'd go for the cement color, looks amazing.

Yeah, mine is mirror black. Always parking far off in parking lots and avoiding certain streets.
And ex girlfriends.
