So your kid leaves their laptop in Middleton and takes a smoke break outside. Comes inside and the laptop is missing. You just say awe shucks, it happens? frick no, you bitch at your kid and report the criminal act.
So now you're pretending that you were just referring to stolen guns ???

Shock me...how many?

Quick google search on 2012
190k (183/7) were lost or stolen from responsible gun owners.
16k were lost/stolen from dealers.
Almost 9k gun homicides.

Do you feel you were negligent in that situation? Did you try to pull an amateur 'bait car' and it backfired?
just stop...
seriously...

Do the 9k gun homicides have a relationship to the stolen guns or are you just reaching again?

Are there stats for this? If not, how do you know this to be true...
Just speaking from what I have witnessed on first hand accounts. Guns in unlocked cars or no gun safe.
Maybe my level of gun safety is higher than most on this board.

Well the FBI reports there were an estimated 699,594 motor vehicle thefts nationwide in 2013. How many of these stolen vehicles were used in crimes?

Was only putting it there as a statistic. I have no idea how many were committed with stolen/lost guns.

Link? I'm curious about where this came from. Also, out of those 16K, how many were used in crimes.

How many guns have you seen stolen, must have been quite a few. Please tell us...

No clue on how many were used in crimes. Maybe it is further in the report.

Did the dealers not lock them up properly? Did they leave them laying on the counter and went to lunch to have them disappear?

What did you mean by witnessing on first hand accounts?

I would assume some were probably sold on the black market and not necessarily "stolen."

Also, I don't pretend to have a magic pill that fixes this
There really isn't a good "fix" here that involves making it harder for me (me being a non-criminal) from obtaining a gun.
Any further "background checks" aren't going to help. Because people like me don't give a shite. We'll submit to the check (and pass). This will do NOTHING to prevent criminals from getting a gun on the streets.
The ONLY way to prevent gun crime is to completely rid the earth of guns. Yes, the earth. Because as long as there are guns, criminals will have them.
Luckily, for now anyways, we have the second amendment.

So you put the two stats there even though there is no correlation between the two???
No agenda here whatsoever
