Marketing for the majority of health care is money laundering. Inelastic demand. Most of your patients get free health care. They don't need help finding you. Word of mouth is free.

Never understood garbage company ads in my market. Local governments decide which company gets to run in each district, I have no individual say.

Businesses can choose who comes for their dumpster.

USAA and NFCU. Both waste shite tons of $$$ on marketing to people that can't join. If you are eligible to join and don't know, you are too dumb to be in the military. And that is currently a pretty low bar.

Shimano doesn’t advertise. Buddy of mine was a Shimano sales rep, he told me they would rather sell their product through quality than advertise. It’s a Japanese thing..

Are Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Wal-Mart and their ilk so ingrained in our everyday lives that they could stop running ads and still rake-in billions every year?

You don't see many Tabasco ads.

Why do Democrats and Entergy run ads? You can’t pick your utility company, at least not in south Louisiana.

I find it odd that that a plastic surgeon runs so many ads on TV. Weiler plastic Surgeon. That makes me think the word of mouth way isn't working, which is bad.

The company I work for does very little advertising and zero commercials. We do have a 500+ Person sales force though.
