Would you teach your child to be kind to someone like that and treat them as they themselves would wish to be treated?
I'd honestly rather just a normal trans person reading a book than an oversexualised drag queen

that is an oversimplification. I don't want some wacko teaching my kid that crossdressing is normal.
What are your views on kilts?
Better keep him away from Braveheart too.
No Monty Python, and no Braveheart.
Gotta suck to be your kid.

You people should be reported to child protection services for bringing your kids around this shite.

They're not necessarily oversexualized. Especially considering what else is part of the cultural "normal" mainstream now. You could probably see something more sexualized taking them to a broadway play

Some of them probably are veterans.

They go from city to city looking to stir up controversy and get attention from the media. It worked in Lafayette and looks like it will work in Baton Rouge too

Yep. And the idiots fall for it every time.

Or they're trying to read some damn books to some kids in an entertaining way. And people are getting outraged.

Can't imagine the type of weirdo you have to be to WhiteKnight for dragqueens

You serious?
Costumes have always been a staple of entertainment.

They haven’t even told the people who work at that Aveada location that this was even happening.

Oh so they're dressing up as a character in the book?

Maybe.
I don't know what book they're reading. Do you?

It's a costume

Yeah, don't comment on anything unless it applies to you
I generally think the drag queen story time stuff is a really crappy attempt at socializing kids, however it's usually parents who would push that stuff on their kid anyway that take the kids.
So innocent little children aren't being exposed.

I'd prefer to have a dude dress like a chick and have a good time hanging around than some dude dressed in a tacticool costume to antagonize the public.
Just saying.
Just saying.
