Yep. Really nice meet. I see there is much confusion about the proper protocol for the National Anthem. Soldiers in Uniform stand at attention. Civilians take their hats off and place their right hands over their hearts. Standard operating procedure to play the National Anthem before every meet. Some meets have a prayer.

If you don't do this, then you are not a good American. You are suspect. You should be immediately detained, searched, and possibly arrested. If you don't want any trouble do what they say.

Hand over heart is proper for the pledge of allegiance.
If wearing cover/headgear, remove and place over heart for the anthem. If bareheaded, simply stand at attention, it's not the Pledge of Allegiance.
