With this project finally scheduled to complete fall 2021. Big IF.
Any possibility of development along this canal to be similar to the amite river diversion canal?

Dumb question perhaps but I assume they are actually working on it now? Haven’t seen any news coverage of it of note lately.

I believe that’s how they originally got people to vote for it 20-30 years ago. But don’t think it is in cards.

I tend to agree with the no development sentiment. Knowing what we know about 2016, I want that thing free and clear to flow, not have people developing all around it and reducing its capacity, introducing extra runoff, etc.
Keep your ratchet asses away from the diversion.

Thought Graves and others had it pretty much sown up with DJT’s support last I heard. Maybe more studies need to be done. Or covid sent everyone home.

It was originally billed as maintaining water. No idea how it has changed in 20 years though.
