Since when does being conservative = thinking no laws should exist or be enforced?
I am all for discouraging loud exhaust. They are an unnecessary nuisance.

There is no way this thing works to specify which vehicle it is. 85db at 50 feet. Which direction? Straight down? Random car 50ft down the street? Facing which direction? What about buildings and cars around? I bet a council person got a vacation out of this contract. My car doesn't have a muffler and it may pass this thing if it's on a pole.
