I thought it was auto correct. You wouldn't get banned saying coon arse, you would just have (as I probably will now) some coon arse tell you it's a derogatory term. But you will have just as many tell you it's a tear of endearment.

Welcome back.

I don't feel like you can see what South Louisiana has to offer unless it is your home

That is probably because it doesn't offer very much.

I am happy you get to go back to the place you love though

I hear ya. Been there many years ago around this same time of year. Was working out of state and job turned out to be not worth it. After coming home for Easter I decided to close things out there and come home for good. It was a great drive back knowing I had made the decision and would not be making the trip again. After a few weeks I quit and packed my shite and moved back. It was a very cool time being back around family and friends.

Two reason why I don't like your post.

1. Your screen name. At one point in the six months you lived in NOLA you liked it enough to call yourself NawlinsTigah. Which is completely a dumb name. The only person who can pull off saying Nawlins died last year. Outside of him it's a dumb word to use. Spelling Tiger Tigah ranks up there too.

2. You live in one of the only places I would consider leaving LA to live.

I agree with all of this.

1st of all, welcome back to La.

2nd not all of us who were born/live in North La. want to be part of TX. I lived there for 7 years and just like you, I was and still am excited to be back. It's home and the La. culture/food/music is like nowhere else. I'm a tigers fan, a saints fan, & love me some boudin, jambalaya, etouffe, crawfish, etc, etc. Sorry for the rant, but it really irritates the crap out of me to be lumped into the North La is all Texas wannabe's. Not true!

You're spot on. As many things as I dislike about Southern Louisiana, I miss the people and culture every day. Fortunately, where I live, there are several other transplants from back home. I couldn't handle Texas without them, however I still wouldn't move back to LA.

of the 3 people in is thread saying Louisiana sucks, 1 is from North Baton Rouge, 1 is from Monroe and the other only lived in New Orleans for 6 months...long enough to name himself after the city and the flagship university mascot.

should we take these people serious?

I'm one of those people who do that. Main reason is because when I used to visited there as a child seeing all the Cowboys fans really pissed me off. At the time the Cowboys were good and the Saints sucked. But now I hear those same family members up there bitching that the Cowboys game is televised and not the Saints.

It could be worse, Fin called south Arkansas.
