Richard Pryor is one of the greatest...I doubt many open minded people would argue. I would also put Cosby up there....along with white guys like Williams, Carlin and about 5-6 others.
The idea that Murphy, Rock or Chapelle even come close is such a huge fail that it says more about your views and preferences than anything else. Frankly, it's says your view on comedy is just as narrow as someone who says ethnic comedians are bad.

I've listened to all the ones you've mentioned and I laughed maybe four or five times in total. And I'd say the same about most women comedians. Sorry if I don't live in idiocracy.

I went with your favs and the screen name. I appreciate intelligent humor too but it does not have to be just word play and the like. Some of the early Richard Pryor stuff with his characters, situations and irony are really well done. I don't like gratuitous cursing and sex talk that much....It just gets old...fast.
