Sounds like a motorcross motorcycle.

Just have to worry about the Apex seals on that motor wearing out. Should have just dropped in a LS motor from the get go.

My weed whacker sounds like that when I remove the spark arrestor to clean it.

The car in the first link is not the same as the one in the second link. The first one is a Mazda and the second link (walk around) is the Lexus.

Last generation GS had the LS 460 motor as an optional V8. Now, the only 8 they have for the model is the 5 liter -F motor. It's the same block as the LS hybrid V8 motor, but actually delivers more horsepower. It's 417 HP, with a smooth torque/power band, but not sexy like the 500 from the rotary. I agree that it's a step away from goodness, from a reliability standpoint (especially for a Toyota model), but the kids want hot, high revving and lots of horses.

Unfortunately that cars generation came with the 1UZ motor. Another alternative and probably easier swap would be the 2JZ supra motor. You'll get your high revving with more reliability than a rotor engine.
I can still respect the build though. Rotary engines are incredible by design.

Dude must spend a lot on brakes and tires tho.

The person driving that car has no idea what they're doing, those tires won't last 50 laps.

Thing probably gets 5 mpg

It's a drift car. Those tires are changed after a few passes I'm sure.

This is the real deal 4 rotor.
I don't get drift cars. It's one thing for Chris Harris to whip a car around, but to setup a car to intentionally do that?

Can someone explain to me in simple terms how a rotary motor works compared to a piston motor?
