it provides a glimpse at what it’s like when a policeman puts on his uniform to serve and protect the public, and not to bully and terrorize the citizens.

This event happened in the municipality of Ábrego in Colombia. A 19 year old man suffered a mental episode and was threatening to commit suicide by hanging. [removed] This policeman talked him out of suicide by simply being nice. It’s unreal how much difference a simple hug, instead of a baton, can make.

The policeman was identified as Marcos García from the Seccional de Norte de Santander attachment. Some of the things he told the teenager were:

I’m going to take you as my godson. I’ll help you with whatever you need, we’ll do good things for you, get out of there. Believe in García.

Uplifting story. I'm glad no minorities were harmed.

Thank you LSUTangerine.

That is a very fair and neutral article ...

Props to the Police officer. This is the type of things that Louisiana police do on daily basis.

Can't have an uplifting story without cramming down an agenda I guess.

Wow! Of course the author wasn't the least bit subjective.

This is by far the most important part.

But instead of beating the shite out of Cray Majnon on Youtube for writing his insufferable and condescending description of his video, the cop knew Majnon was a nut going through a mental episode

I took that part out, as it is really not applicable. Frankly I did not even read most of it. I watched the video on a different site, then found the direct link to the vid on youtube.

frick, you must think everyone is stupid here. Seriously, you just accidentally carved out the shittiest part of the video description in your OP?

No. On second glance, there's even worse in the description that I did not include at all.

I am new to TD but I have noticed a couple of things right off the bat....

1. All you do is race bait. Do you have a life outside of trying to increase racial divide in the OT?

If you want to bridge the gap, it is not working.

2. You edit every post you make.

If only the cops would have addressed poor Mike Brown and Alton Sterling this way, they would have surely cooperated.
