It's been wrecking me for over a week now...

Got a steroid shot Saturday and just finished a Z-Pack yesterday, still feeling it...

Better go get on a z-pack and get a steroid shot the day it starts. Otherwise it will turn into a sinus infection.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned sudafed yet. It is absolutely the best decongestant medication there is. Since they moved it behind the counter it seems many less people use it. I would suggest taking that separately from an antihistamine vs taking the "d" antihistamines. You want the immediate release ones - tiny red pills. Take as needed to get you through the day. Mucinex will help thin it out and clear it, but will probably make you miserable as it begins to drain. As others have said, Neti pot frequently (the squeeze bottles work best). If you want to really open up sinuses add Alkalol (get it at any pharmacy). One thing to keep in mind if you have a sinus infection - antihistamines thicken your mucus, making it harder to clear. If you are trying to clear the mucus, go off antihistamines for a few days (and don't take them with your antibiotics).

eta the nose sprays work great. I use both flonase and astelin (astepro for nonrx)

I started taking Xyzel with a squirt of Nasocort at bedtime when the weather started changing. I’ll take another squirt in the daytime if I feel anywhere close to stuffy. Flonase don’t work and my allergist said to use Nasocort. It’s great.
I’ve staved off the crud very well so far! Wife got sick, tho…

Urgent care doc just gave me cough syrup

I bet $50 non-narcotic, non-hydrocodone. They never prescribe that shite anymore.

Mix 60/40 apple cider vinegar and water. Hold your head back and shoot a little shot up each nostril with a kids medicine syringe. I used to shoot that shyt undiluted but I don’t have the infections anymore.

Some people don’t think it work, but it do. Cold gone in 2 days. But it’s a doozy drinking that shite.

Can’t hear squat out of my right ear. I can try to pop it but it just sounds like water moving around.

the dayquills nightquills have the fake decongestant that they fessed up doesn't do anything for congestion.

watch the tylenol and advil in all of them. don't overdo.

I started a thread a couple months ago asking about Navage right after I had a sinus infection, and quite a few recommended I use Neilmed, which was a sinus rinse bottle I used and it helped me a lot. Use that and Zyrtec and I was pretty much back to normal after a couple days. Try that out.

Was wondering about the Navage. Home simple counter medicine aint doing much. Usually get the cold/flu during hunting season at some point. Passed with flying colors, only to be sidelined in spring.

Yeah! Just the opposite for me. My wife had it fo a week and then my throat started being scratchy. Then my chest and head were congested. Couldn't sleep because of a stopped up nose
She went to the Dr but I used over the counter meds.
Its finally getting better. I can sleep, but still hocking up stuff on a regular basis.
