I've been to the stables in St. Louis for a tour. If I'm ever back in St. Louis I will go again, they are taken care of very well and their stables are beautiful.

From NOPD Facebook:

The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation has announced the return of the annual Horses, Hops and Cops fundraiser which will be taking place Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the N.O.P.D. Mounted Division horse stables in New Orleans City Park. The event is free for all ages to attend and will be held rain or shine.
Southern Eagle Sales and Service, the New Orleans-area Budweiser distributor, continues to partner with the Louisiana
Hospitality Foundation to co-produce the event, which raises money for the N.O.P.D. Mounted Division.
Attendees will enjoy live music from The Beverage Committee and Imaginary Frenz, food and beverages including
Budweiser, Coca-Cola, & PJ’s Coffee products, arts and craft vendors selling local handmade goods, children’s face
painting and the opportunity to have a professional photo taken with a Budweiser Clydesdale horse. There will also be
an on-site raffle for a chance to win a ride for two on the Budweiser Clydesdale wagon in the 2016 Krewe of Argus Mardi
Gras day parade (winner and guest must be 21 or older to ride – food, drink and throws are provided.)

Friend of mine was down there today and said the horses are legit. One of them could tap out Yankee doodle dandy with her hooves!

It's not looking good for 7 of the great beasts.
Apparently, somebody fed Rusty and 6 of the others some bad Beefaroni.
Looking like Mardi Gras festivities for these great beasts may be in doubt. Tuesday is still a go though.

Damn. My buddy said one of them seemed to be very docile and down in the mouth and there were some medical personnel out there.

Y'all see the Baw behind the second one, hovering with his entire body?
I've heard of hover hand. This guy is taking it to the next level.

My favorite part of Mardi Gras is watching them get ready for Endymion every year.

I'm wondering how I would know if any were sick. I guess maybe track vets treating them? The better not have EHV1.
They been to sunland or turf paradise recently?
