Is Kaepernick an American? Then the anthem is for him. Deal with it.

No he is African American/black there is a difference.

There is no difference. He is American. Quit trying to separate the 2, that's the fricking problem here.

Who made you the patriot police to choose what is respect full or disrespectful to the troops?

Why do you keep putting the word "troops" in my mouth. I haven't said anything about the troops. Maybe you should try actually reading what I've typed so your responses make sense.

I said when one is asked to stand out of respect, the antithesis of that is disrespect. You may have your reasons for so doing and be well within your rights for so doing, but the act itself is most certainly the opposite of the respect the venue is trying to show. Again, that's not difficult to grasp unless you're being wilfully obtuse.

You are lost in the sauce.

That's not a rebuttal. How am I not a real American in your eyes because I'm black? Give me your damn reasoning instead of blase quips.

I simply said that if people call you uncle tom then own it.

And why should I do that?

Oh, so NOW context matters. But not when it comes to standing or kneeling for our country's anthem. Got it

Get to me when kneeling is deemed as respectable during the national anthem. Then we will be comparing apples to apples.

"North" was supposed to be "nor." Autocorrect got me. Will edit.

Point still stands.

Point still stands in my favor. You are making a point that the swastika was not intended to be a tool for hate, but nevertheless it become one. I am saying the national anthem was not intended for us because the context. The content has not changed, but now the context has????

You really believe that? That's hilarious. You have to be an extremely young person to be so ignorant. Learn some history and develop some talking points that actually make sense.
A portion of us have actually lived through some stuff first hand and know better.

Yes. Anyone can bear witness to that.

That is a completely unrelated tangent to the thread of that point. And you wish to discuss apples to apples

You are awful at debate.

He's an American who exercised his rights. The fact that people want him dead and compare him to actual terrorists is disturbing. It shows how dumb society is today and how much you guys hate freedom

I think the reason people are pissed is because they see that this freedom of speech only goes one way. Let 1 white player get up there and make any comment/gesture that doesn't meet the media's idea of what America should be and see what happens. All his endorsements will be pulled and he will be cut and black-balled from the NFL.

It's a ridiculous double standard.

You're just mad that when you and your cop-killing BLM thugs protest they aren't bringing out the fire hoses and dogs.

You manufacture this "oppression" because you have no real adversity other than your own ignorance.

You know who doesn't hoop and holler about how horribly oppressed they are?

Successful, hard-working black men who haven't been corrupted by some pro-Islamic piece of arse.

You want me to rebut what? The fact that I have seen amazing change and improvement during my lifetime? Look, if you want to ignore the progress that has been made and play the victim then that's on you. IMO people like yourself are extremely damaging to race relations.
