Those rides seem like deaths waiting to happen. They have them all over the place in Orlando and tourist cities like that. I imagine a lot of operators try to lessen expenses by cutting safety and inspection corners.

In fairness, the maximum tension on the cables are when its pulled down there. Which means that is the most likely time for it to fail.

Yeah that just screams of lousy inspection work. Hopefully they sue for mental distress, that's the only way to get these assholes to make these things safe for those of us who enjoy thrills.
