Next "toy" I buy will be a split bumper Z28 and will do a resto mod for cruising comfortably.

Too many toys, not enough time. I'm 58 yo also.

Spent the last year working on a foreclosed farm and a rental. Now it's time to get my high school car, 66 Mustang black fastback roadworthy. Needs refreshed tires/rims, new battery. Restomod from the 90's but basically good to go.

Then on to revamp my 88 Mustang track car (full cage, Brembos, adjustable suspension, etc.) to make it street legal. Still has the numbers and stickers on it.

Just got the boat out for the first time this year last weekend, so I'm encouraged.

You have to make time for things that make you happy.

Some nice rides in this one. I need a bigger garage so I can start buying more toys.

Probably going to pick up something old for my kid soon and start the restoration project so it can be his first car. Might grab an old mustang one of these days and do a resto-mod with a coyote and a turbo or something cool like that.

I'm not a Mustang guy, but an early Mustang coupe is cheap, easy to find, and tons of parts available.

Awesome car. I'm 65. When I was 16 I bought a Cevelle SS 396/375 HP from a rich kid who spun it out and hit a telephone pole on the driver's side. There was slight damage to the drivers door and rocker panel. His parents made him sell it. I bought it in 1971 for $500.00 and had the damage repaired. I had no idea what I had at the time. Only 612 were made. It was Ermine white with black interior. Like all the 375hp cars it had the Muncie 4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter and 4:11 rear end. It was a beast. Truly an amazing muscle car.

Like an idiot I sold it. I wish so much that I had it today. I have two Shelby GT 500's and although they are very fast and quick from the start they don't have the torque the big block Chelleve had. That L78 engine was special.

I've been looking for one for years, but since there were so few they are hard to find

I would love to have a late 50s Studebaker pick up & a classic vw beetle.

I’m an odd duck.

I have a 1968 SS Camaro. I bought it in 1983. without a drive train. Found and rebuilt a SS 350 engine for it back then, put new carpet and seat covers. Sunday drove it until Hurricane Andrew in 1991. Put it inside my shop to protect it, and there it sat until 2008. For some reason I got motivated to restore it once again. This time i took it down to the frame and found a 427 corvette engine to rebuild, and install in it. We take it out during the cooler months, it was not a factory A/C car, and I never installed A/C.

Amazing how the world has changed, as I've grown up.

As a kid in the early 80's we lived in a blue collar neighborhood. Not a lot of money flowing through there, but it didn't cost a ton to buy "older cars".

My dad had a 64 1/2 Mustang (first year) with a 289. He helped my oldest brother buy and fix up a 69 Mach 1 with a 351 Windsor smallblock.
One of his neighborhood friends had a Chevelle with a 396 in it, later on he rigged it to run NO.
Another guy had a Challenger.
Another had a 67 Mustang.
My ex's older brother had a Charger.

Money was put into these cars, but at a modest level. Couple grand to buy.

Looking back, probably any of these cars would be worth 20k easily. But then, they were just fun things people drove as teens.

I have the same exact plan. Love the early 70’s Camaro.
