Civil War Podcasts

Anyone know of any civil war podcasts that are not narrated and researched by Northern apologists? Just got done reading Rebel Yell and Lee's Last Campaign: The Story of Lee and His Men Against Grant-1864. I am a student of history but don't want the revisionist garbage people like Zinn are shoving down the sheeple's throats. TIA

I was way into that a while back too. What I did was research podcasts, documentaries, books, etc using the phrase "War Between the States". I found much less revisionism.

Most of it is about monuments being removed in New Orleans, when you use that phrase.

I'd love to find a good civil war podcast as well. As a history student, I had the pleasure of studying under Dr. Terry L. Jones. His storytelling ability is the reason I majored in history. The man is an absolute genius when it comes to the civil war. He has published a few books and has written several articles, but no podcasts. I think he would be very successful if he ever decided to put some stuff out there

I don't know about podcasts, but when it comes to books, I enjoy reading books that were published during the war's centennial are a helluva lot less apologist.

I can't help with podcasts either but I hear this book is worth a read if you enjoy history, and it is written by a native of NC who has studied the Civil War for 40+ years.

Very well done podcast
Yale Course on Civil War David Blight is amazing and a very magnamous person. I spent two weeks with him studying at Yale for a small conference of history teachers. We spent a lot of time in the Yale archives doing primary source research, it was great. Off the clock at night when his official duties were done he'd come eat and drink with us to just to help and answer anything he could.
Gary Gallagher military strategy
I'd also watch any of his other videos where he lectures or gives interviews for c-span. Best is to buy or torrent his course through the Great Courses. Another great guy, I met him at a historians conference and he is very generous with his time.
You can also find many mooc courses with exceptional Professors. I've done History of the Slave South (Coursera) from University of Pennsylvania. There's a three part course by Princeton via edx. I've also done a few through UVA, Univ of Richmond, Gettysburg College amongst others.
Look around you will find good stuff.

I think what you meant to say was: I was way into that a while back too. What I did was research podcasts, documentaries, books, etc using the phrase "War Between the States". I found I engaged in confirmation bias and it was much better.
