Cigars and where to get em...

I recently smoked a couple Cuban Cohibas,they were of the cheap variety, and now have an itch to get into the cigar world. Any suggestions where to start out?

Online. Local shops are outrageous. Order a sampler for $20 and figure out what you like. I use Cigars international. Try cohiba red dots, Arturo Fuentes 8-5-8, CAO to name a few

I just got a box of Cohibas Esp. for $150 (usually $700 or so) because I work next to a Cuban girl and her dad goes all the time. It was an awesome gift for my boyfriend.

It's not quite like it used to be. There are Nicaraguan and Dominican cigars that are easily on the Cuban level. Getting sticks online is the cheapest option, but if you want good advice and a wide selection, Habana Port is the place in BR to go.

In that case, you have to give the Cigar Factory off of Decatur a shot - they roll their own. A friend of mine that is part owner of a cigar shop in Lafayette swears by La Habana Hemingway off of Toulouse as well.

You can't go wrong with any Dominican Cigar out of a walk-in humidor.
I like a Padron.It's on the low end of the price scale.

ETA: it used to be illegal to bring them back to the USA. I bought some in Canada and removed the rings so that if caught, it would be hard to tell where they were from.

Check out Gurhka, Kristoff, Nat Sherman...check out the samplers, you can figure out what you like before investing $ towards a box.
