People that are saying way back that cider was the drink of times are forgetting something. Back then they didn't have the spare crops for beer along with drinking water could of killed you.

Why not? Cider is pretty damned simple to make. And can be made strong. Win win for Brewers.
Also, women drinking a5-7% ABV cider? Make sure you have nice underwear on, because you're as good as naked.

Cider and beer are two different things....
Apple flavored beer is not cider. There is no such thing as cider beer!
I find the dry ciders are much better, the others have a LOT of sugar. Try a dry cider over ice, my wife drinks them and it's a nice break from heavy beer now and then
