Work 40 a week go home. Anything over 8 a day subtract the next day or later that week. Makes going home early on Fridays nice

I have salaried employees. I don't care if they work 80 or 20 as long as the work is done, done right and if they are required to be somewhere they are. No overtime but paid well. I think they prefer that as the jobs require fluctuating schedules like that.

Right, but a lot of offices, especially professional services still apply billable hours to projects.

There is a lot of bad information in this thread. Fluctuating work week is a legit way to pay people half time for overtime hours under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

I was just coming to post this about Lowe's. They did this for years, got sued, and had to pay back all the overtime due for every employee over a certain period of time.
