That's why it's critical to find a good women to marry and be his step mom. No matter how much she hates you, the ex is always chided when you upgrade on her replacement. Plus you can then take him to stuff like Disney, and all kinds of stuff, but him cool toys and better clothes, and still make your child support payments. That's when you feel like a big time boss

This. My ex didn't do shite for my child. She was always there to pick up her check, usually asking for it early, but rarely there to pick up her child. Though that helped me get primary custody so It didn't bother me. In the initial settlement, I gave her a couple grand to pay for community college (she had learned sign language and wanted to be an interpreter) - the next day she bought a big stereo setup. Never saw a day of school.
