I'd love to see them not challenge it and just close. I like that message better.

100% this. It would be great if they just pulled every restaurant out of the state

It would be asinine for the state to allow a tenant that is awarded the contract to not be open on Sundays. Pretty dumb of Chic Fil A to think they could get those high demand spots and not be open on Sunday.

And this concern wasn’t addressed on like the first hour of negotiations?

How can they tell a business when they need to be open? The government has bigger issues than making CFA open on Sundays. This is the problem with our government, they are focused on the wrong issues. How's about stop funding this proxy war and take care of your own people before shelling out insane amounts of money to foreign entities.

It is part of a government contract. They aren't telling a private business on private property what to do. They are forming a contract of what services need to be provided on government property and when.

Not the point. The title of this thread is

quote:

Chickfila being forced by the government to open on Sundays

Which is misleading and factually incorrect.

Makes sense to me. If you are selecting tenants to offer a service in your building, I feel it’s warranted to stipulate certain conditions. Like you have to be open.

They don't have to anchor service plazas

Pretty sure there's a religious rights violation here and it CFA will get an exemption
Should be far more than just a religious rights violation.

OP's title is misleading.

Yeah. It’s like saying, “New Orleans zoo restricting entry for black people”. And the truth is, no one is allowed in the zoo after 8pm.

NY knew CFA didn't open on Sundays, yet they allowed them into those sites. Tough shite for NY.
