Someone else recently explained this to me. They don't tell you your order amount and ask you to pull around. Then they will look to see if you are paying cash or card. If they see you have cash, they will say an amount $1 more, and then put a dollar in their pocket as they get your change. If they see a card, they can't do it, and just say the correct amount.
