They can't even steal efficiently in that third-world-hell-hole.

A couple of years ago, my father received a summons from NOLA for an unpaid parking ticket. According to them one of his semi trucks received a parking ticket on Bourbon Street. Yes a fully loaded semi...
My father doesn't run any trucking business thru NOLA and it would also be a several hour detour for one of his drivers to drive a Peterbilt loaded with wood fuel and leave it parked on Bourbon for a day. (Which is a highly unlikely scenario in the first place) There was just no way this was possible.
He called them up and after much debate, it turns out that it was a mistake like the ones mentioned in this article when the officer entered the plate info. The best part is if the officer entered that data on the computer, right then and there it should have been obvious they were not ticketing a semi when the plate info pulled up.

Can't say I've ever seen a semi parked on bourbon. I'm not sure how they would get down there.

I was written one a week ago for illegal parking, yet the sign was completely gone. There was a pole where they used to have a sign, but no sign. I hope they drop it. Only $30 and I'm not going in, doing the "contest by mail" thing. I'll suck it up and pay $30 before going into that shite hole.

You said "tickets" you replied with a single instance.
To be honest I was just playing devil's advocate. I find it silly to ticket people for parking on their own property. About as bad as the people that flip out if you park in front if their house.

Always check wherever you are. Sometimes people will leave their ticket on a random car hoping the owner will pay without looking. I guess what's to lose if you don't intend to pay anyway?
