I'm going to use it as an excuse to be a degenerate today and then I'll probably be alright by tomorrow.
So I'm out out on this one technically I guess.

Not ruined, but more losses likely to cause some discontent.

I’m 59 so it doesn’t affect me anymore but when I was 29 I would carry it for a few days.

I still have 2 days in Vegas. Too much to do to worry about a loss.

I’ll admit I’m a little annoyed. You wait all year to watch the game and want your team to do well. But I’ll get over it and ready to watch the next game.
This is me. For whatever reason I seem to care more this year. Perhaps because I thought there was no way in hell we’d do this for a 5th straight year.

There were days when I would have lost my sanity
Fortunately they are no longer. I have seen and enjoyed seeing National Championships and Heisman trophy winners.
I pull for LSU all the time - it is now simply entertainment - it adds nor takes away - it is entertainment

I woke up in a bad mood. Been taking it out on my family…
It’s not how I should act, but I look forward to lsu football each year and it sucks to have the season go to the trash already

I am stopping my philanthropic donations immediately. It is apparent it’s not working.
Maybe it’s time to support ULM and get some sweet tickets at Malone Stadium.

If anything, it was a delightful evening.

Yeah, it sucks bad when my team loses. But perhaps as a function of my advanced age and general apathy over almost everything, I am able move on. 10-20 years ago I was totally invested
same... used to take loses HARD, but now, dunno... just sorta seems insignificant to get pissed/depressed for a week b/c my team didn't win...

I send this to my brother every time we lose. Life goes on.
“The 19-year-olds who attend my favorite university didn’t score enough touchdowns today so I’m in the basement, drinking until I fall asleep. My wife is crying, begging me to come upstairs & watch a Muppet Christmas Carol with my family. “I don’t care if I die tonight” I whisper.”

I have been this way since 1/9/12 when we got humiliated in the dome. Prior to that, my life centered around LSU football. I would sulk for 2-3 days every time we lost , which was pretty frequently back then.
Then 1/9 came along. After that game I seriously considered quitting watching football games. Instead, I decided to stop being so emotionally invested. I have been a lot happier since that time. I am still pissed when something happens during the game and sad after a loss. But I no longer let it carry over to the next day.

I stopped letting the performance of a bunch of dudes that can barely read and write affect me long ago.

Mine won't be ruined.
My policy of not falling for the pre season hype serves me well, again.
We will probably have a decent 9-10 win season if the fellows learn from this loss, 7 wins if we don't.
Fake outrage is fake!

Can I check if an Aggie loss made my Saturday night better?

DGAF anymore. Didn’t even watch yesterday. Win or lose really doesn’t impact my life

I haven’t let that shite get to me for years. I’m usually annoyed for at least a few minutes but last night I just turned off my tv and went to the living room to watch a scary movie with my wife. She assumed we won. I guess at some point you reach an age where you realize how irrelevant all of it is.

Sports, especially football in the US, is big business. These companies have billiions invested and do everything they can to keep people engaged.
Do you normally let large organizations emotionally manipulate you?

After 2019 I knew I'd never see an LSU team like that again, considered that the finale and anything after is just lagniappe now.
