Social media is currently filled with leftists claiming he was a conservative raised in a conservative household. His own words and the worlds of family and friends prove that when it comes to his personal beliefs, that is 100% false.

A family friend, a minister, recognized him and called his dad. The dad called the cops and he surrendered at the police station.
Also the Black cowboy hat of the Sherriff isn't an act. I know/work with many guys in that part of the world that wear their hats everyday.
