Kind of like Jeff Lambert? I used to hang out with him all the time at Hyde Park. Used to joke with him the he was either going to explode or lose his nuts. Which ever came first.

actually, i cant claim da parish, I just married into it.
There's no place like it, though.

Did y'all wear those pendants with your whole name spelled out in gold? I hear those were popular down there.

How old is Mike Roach? Tall, lanky kid? Sounds familiar.

Those CP baseball teams a year ahead of me and Brett were ridiculous...

Dewey, Trey, Chad Albert, Turnage, Schubert, Capella, Jeff (short, stocky, can't remember last name). Who else was on that team? You couldn't touch that team...OR their bright green Mizuno batting gloves!

I remember seeing Winchester play at the Delgado field. His home run hit one of those trees out in left center and it was still on the way up. Ridic!

That's right around where I grew up and YES those fricking name chains were everywhere, especially in the late 80's to early 90's.

Karl St., right down the street from the softball park. One of my best friends lived on Perrin.

Taffe. We also had Scott Dohmann who was drafted by the Rockies out of ULL and Randy Odinet who owned that left field screen.

Wasn't that the greatest park ever? I love how when we go older the right field line was a ground rule double and you had to hit it on the other side of the score board.

that's so

Jeanfreau's (sp?) rocks. EVERY time we'd go to maw-maws she'd get roast beef and gravy from there and some french bread from Goodchildren's (i think) for the first night we were there. I still haven't found a roast beef po-boy as good as that.

I think the most disappointed i've ever seen my wife is when the Lil Fisherman changed to Crabby J's. She always called it "crappy hooks" and scowled as we turned down Perrin from Judge Perez.

No shite, then they put thoes goddamn bleachers in right field that year I played with ya'll and I fell ran into them trying to make a play on a ball. Still caught that bitch though!

One of my proudest moments was taking BP with my dad on the field. I decided to switch it up and go lefty and put one into SRB's parking lot. Never would've been able to do it in a game, but damn it felt good!

The dude that owns Crabby J's is a Holy Cross alum. You'd be shocked as hell if you went down there now. That building is now a strip mall.

I'll never forget it. The best is when they'd have the games going on on the "little diamond" and someone would jack one and the center and left fielder would go running through a bunch of six year olds. Good times.
