I took delivery of the car already. Dealer didn't try to sell it to me.

I bought a new Silverado in 2020 and fell for the salesman's pitch about the protective coating. I found out later that a local detailer does the real coating for a fraction of price the dealership charges. I have several buddies who have had it applied by the detailer.

After having the truck 2 years I think the coating that the detailer does is worth the price but the spray crap that the dealer put on is a big waste of money.

Hey my friend, so sorry I just seen your question. Use a good clay bar on it (keep it lubricated while using and wax it with a good quality wax!)

Is a good wash and wax with a quality productive all that you need?

Yes, if you truly do a good wash, a good clay job, and properly apply a good product.
