I'm beginning to think it's a DNA thing, not speaking of the kid

Inspirational young man. I hope and pray he fully heals.
This news needs national/global attention.

Ran over twice wtf? Did this a-hole run him over then back over him?
hit him, broke his arm
shot him
hit him again, ran over his leg
shot him again
at least that's how the mom explained it.

That would be a "Go Fund Me" worth funding.
Here it is

Daniel Wesley is my 17-year old godson, my cousin and is also my hero! He is the "good Samaritan" who was shot and run over on Nov. 27th while trying to help a wounded woman on the side of the road who had also been shot and thrown out of her car. While rendering first aid to her, he himself was run over by the shooter in his car, and then shot by the perpetrator twice...once in the leg and once in the arm. Daniel is alive (praise Jesus), but has sustained multiple injuries and fractures, he is in a lot of pain and has a long road to recovery ahead of him. His femur was broken when the car ran over him, and he also has major injuries from when he was shot in the leg as well. He underwent surgery to place a rod in his leg. He will also need surgery on his arm where he was shot and the humerus shattered into multiple pieces. He will have months of rehabilitation and physical therapy ahead of him. His father suffered a stroke and had to retire early. Therefore our family would really appreciate your support! I have created this account to request assistance to help with his medical and other expenses. Daniel is an extraordinary young man, with a heart of gold and a strong faith in God. Daniel is a senior at Central High School, and is loved by everyone who is blessed to know him. Please consider making a donation to help them, and as always, please support him and his family with your prayers! Thank you for your love and prayers in advance and God bless you!

I think alot of people donating must know the family, but yeah...godmother? She should have set it up in REAL family member's name at least.
I wish this hero the best, and I'm sure he's in very capable hands.
BUT
This POS perp just fricked his own kids (7 and 4, FFS) out of a life with even 1 parent above ground.
Those kids need a GFM...not their fault poppa was POS.
I suspect neither one have a chance now...raised by a lenient-out-of-love maw maw...sigh.

This sucks, however, he was very fortunate that the car did not run over any vital organs.
