What's up with Ryan hall/Radar omega drawing red boxes around severe thunderstorms AND tornado warnings? I keep forgetting and getting confused
ETA: looking at it now looks like the tor warnings are purple but I'm used to them being red so my brain can't process it

All those storms around OKC look like they might get warned soon
New warning for the one heading for Norman

About the inflow notch he's talking about....
I've found that this particular storm motion makes it difficult for that type of vortex to fully form and wrap up. It formed the inflow notch and then collapsed. It wasn't able to really start wrapping around to clear out the rear inflow notch/jet. It is a hard enough process to get a really notable tornado from a bookend vortex (which is what this would be). To me, and from watching a bunch of them over the years, this storm motion kind of overruns that vorticity as it tries to rotate around. The associated bowing segment becomes the biggest concern.
Just my experience from watching them.

I don't watch Ryan, but my Radar Omeg is orange for STW and red for TW.

She gone now. It was a frame, maybe two. A tornado won't last long in that.

True, but its now confirmed as tornado so who knows

Reed could have used the frame with the TDS.

The circulation on that is pretty nice on radar.

Does this mean spotter confirmed or radar confirmed?

Should I be?
I’m at the best western on the west side of 35 on 240. Right across the street was probably a stretch but only a mile or two away
