I used ready seal ‘pecan’ on mine. 8’ board on board with a rough sawn 2x10 cedar top cap. 4 years old taking a beating in the Texas sun and it looks new. The top cap really needs a new coat though.
Other guy mentioned the Australian timber oil. Any of these penetrating oils will do a good job and keep a lot of the natural look.

Saw composite fence boards the other day. $22 bucks for one. Holy shite that’s an OT baller fence if there ever was one.

That is a good stain fightin. Most of the ones I've seen stained with a cedar stain are much too dark, or even orangy. I like a very light cedar stain, looks more natural.

Any chance you can post a picture of your fence? I’m also going with 8ft with some details.

Ready Seal - Natural Cedar

I don’t post personal pictures here. But this is exactly what it looks like. You can use a pump up sprayer and back brush it to apply it or if you have an airless, it will be even better. It also can be rolled on. Pretty idiot proof product.
Brand has a natural finish too if you want it lighter. Home Depot sells it. Company is out of Texas.

Don't skimp on price for this type of product. The cheaper stuff lasts about a year before it starts to break down under UV penetration. Also, a clear stain wont last long. Oil base is messy to work with, but better long term. Get a semi-transparent color if you can. Always back brush or back roll. That's what pushes the product deep into the pores.
