Because, the 14 days is what the maximum incubation time, that it took for someone to start showing signs of covid.

Once you already have it, your usually contagious for 10 days.

Not sure how thats confusing

So, should we trust the science before it is, as they say, settled? No I’m not getting tested for being a around a positive patient

If I feel well enough to go about my daily activities, I will go about my daily activities.

You are right that’s how science works, but the science isn’t behind a 14 day quarantine. That’s politics driven by stupid politicians. I’ve known since April that anything over an 8 day quarantine was harvesting radically diminishing returns.
