at least an hour a day and several on the weekend.

Ugh so much work and attention.

dogs are better if you are hunting or defending or want to know if someone is in your space.

cats are better if you want a pet that does not need much attention.
they do want some. they are pack animals too. brushing, a little game of fetch. let them sit next to you while you read.

Sorry your trailer park is such a shithole.

It's not the dog, it's the owner. I have left mine in the house for 16 hours (called out to work) and she held it the entire time. When I come home, she is waiting at the door with her tail wagging, nothing more. It's called discipline and they learn it from the owner.

The companionship of a dog outweighs anything a cat can offer.

I'll be gay and say it, but my cat and I have a hell of a bond. If I'm not moving around the house, she is on me. She hasn't left my side since the moment I brought her home from the pound. Dogs are more likely to bond with humans, but if you get the right cat, you can have the same bond.

Why is it gay to say you love your cat? Because chinese58 says so? Cherish what you have with her because we have them for such a very short time. It sucks really.
