It was pretty good. The Catholics get worked up pretty good when it comes to their arrogance over being the one and only church that was hand made by God himself

Really? You're going with this stance behind the church that has enabled and protected child rapists?
It's always someone else's fault. Just keep tithing and voting. Good will prevail.

He also didn't say "here's a man in a funny hat and he's the guy you have to listen to" but ya'll sure seem to think he did.

The truth is often hard to hear, and is worth getting worked up about. Sorry that Luther took 1.5 millenia to light the spark that started one of the tens of thousands of later innovations that you're a member of.

Cmon in to the true faith brother, the water is fine. And stick around for the potluck

Swing and a miss
But a nice gatekeeping attempt anyway. "Muh cult is older and better than yours."

What a lot of people don’t realize is that the baptists are the original Christians. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist into the Baptist faith

Martin Luther started the Lutherans
The Baptists were founded by John the Baptist and his cousin Jesus

I'd be concerned if you don't have at least 150 questions by the end of the program. Things should be glaring at you when in the program. I assume you're only doing this to appease a spouse or you never were a practicing Baptist.

I never claimed he did.
Now show me where he said the Catholic Church is my church.

Catholics of the OT: Advice to someone going through RCIA?
First of all, congratulations. I relish my Catholic faith and all that comes with it. The last sacraments I received was confirmation in 11th grade and then marriage. My wife was also born and raised Catholic but did not get confirmed as she wasn't sure it was for her at the time. About 5-6 years ago, she decided that she wanted to take the plunge, signed up for RCIA confirmation and asked me to be her sponsor. It was a very rewarding experience and I enjoyed it immensely.
Our 3rd child is preparing to receive First Reconciliation and will receive First Communion in the spring so it's a great time for reflection.
My advice to you is this. Constantly think of your relationship with God and ask for His presence in your heart. Ask for His grace. Ask for forgiveness. Think of all the blessings you've received in your life (including feeling the pull towards your new Catholic faith) and be thankful for them. Be thankful for your life. Be thankful for your family, your time here on earth, the souls who've gone before you and who will come after you. Ask Mary to pray for you, focus on a Saint who you might feel something in common with, and just hone in on the warmth you feel from being in communion with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
Also remember that Jesus forgives all who seek it. Penance is a remarkable gift but don't wait for just these ops to ask for forgiveness. Your soul is free from sin as soon as you seek for it.
I guess my other final advice is to not let any Catholic hard liners scare you. You'll always meet someone who's more Catholic than you. Remember - the path to Heaven leads to the same gates for everyone. Seek forgiveness always and be thankful.

There are two universal truths in Christianity:
1. Every Theologian dislikes Ehrman (I've heard he is a very rude and condescending person)
2. Every non-Pentacostal dislikes Pentacostals.

To those of you who have been through this process, what would your advice be?
soak it all in. You will know more about your faith than 80% of practicing Catholics.
I converted from Methodist to Catholic it has been a great journey.
