I've been here for 45 minutes. It's been almost an hour since you said you were coming. I'm guessing you realized your mouth was bigger than your balls.

I wanted some good boots and looked around. Everything that I saw was way more expensive than what I wanted to pay for a quality boot. I ended up buying a pair of Corcoran jump boots in brown.

I wore Corcoran jump boots in my youth and know they are high quality well built boots. The pair I have are remarkably comfortable and I've worn them all day without issue.

They come with a painted brown finish that looks a bit ridiculous. With a little work they look like this...

You have to strip off the factory finish and stain the leather but it's simple. They look great and they should last a decade or more.

Oh yea, they were 162.00

Those look pretty nice. Would you do me a pair for $25?

As much fun as I had doing mine, I don't really have the time to do another set. The instructions on exactly what to do are HERE LINK

I followed these instructions to a "T". Mine came out a little darker than these so I'd use a very little mahogany stain if I were to do it again. My boots are a little darker.

All the stuff to do it costs about 25 bucks and it'll take about 2 hours across a few days. It's a fun project and you end up with something totally unique.

I've got the only set that I've seen outside of the military and the only brown set I've ever seen in person. They are great boots with a lot of history. Corcoran has been making these since WW2 and they are still part of the standard Airborne dress uniform. I've still got my black pair from when I was in the service and the construction is exactly the same. Nothing has changed since WW2. It's pretty awesome.

Boots?

I’m not a cowboy or a biker. Nor do I live where weather is an issue.

Nike’s or Vans for me in winter time.

Stay clear of the Mud Dogs. In two months they'll smell like something died in them. It's so bad you'll throw out any shoes you've worn after wearing them.
