dont do it

they dropped off the wrong truck..twice

and then when they finally delivered the vehicle I purchased off the site, the certified inspection failed to pick up on all the undercarriage mess you cant see unless youre under a lift

I'll end up driving this thing until the wheels fall off, but in the small chance they are still in business next time I need another vehicle to replace this one, never again

Yet, they gave me a good price on it as if it wasn't a dying jeep. So no, I wouldn't buy from Carvana.

That doesn't mean they will sell it their front / retail lot dumba$$. They also own a huge auto auction business, where they will unload your Jeep to some local dealer for likely a profit.

Aren’t caravana and carmax just about to go out of business? Pretty sure they’re flooding the auction markets.

I never purchased from them but recently sold a car to them and it was an easy process. They gave me a good price for the car, it was all done online except for the pick up. I had the option of driving the car to them in Hammond but opted to pay $100 for them to pick it up. They drove up in a flat bed truck, signed a couple of papers and loaded it up. Handed me a check for the agreed upon amount and left. I would do it again. I also have had family and friends buy from them, all good experiences and good vehicles. If they buy your vehicle and it has over 100,000 miles on it, it goes straight to auction. The stuff about going out of business and bankrupt are rumors.

Same story as others.

Great selling experience.

Prices for the vehicle we bought a year ago were about $4k to $5k over market price in our area.

We bought at carmax for a good price but had issues with service department (sales department promises did not seem to coincide with service department capabilities).

Bought a car from them in 2021. Good price and incredibly easy. Car has had no issues and I would use them again.

Only problem we had was the title took about five months to come in. Blamed it on Louisiana DMV, COVID, etc

My coworker bought a 2015 GMC from them last year. They delivered it directly to our office and he said his rep also helped with the monthly payment. I don't remember the exact thing he had going but something between his credit and downpayment needed to be tweaked slightly but they did it all behind the scenes on their end.

Overall it was a pretty smooth process, I was up here the day it dropped. They had GPS tracking and showed exactly where the driver location was and ETA.

I tried to buy a Nissan truck from them in 2021. They gave me the most money for my trade in, I selected the truck I wanted and then waited for the delivery day.

Then I waited and waited. They kept rescheduling the delivery date over several weeks due to not having enough staff to transport. I eventually just cancelled the order and went with a local dealer.

Everything seemed great and easy, they just never could seem to get the vehicle to me.

I did it. If you're fine with overpaying its pretty damn great. Super easy, lots of inventory, and a car gets dropped off in your driveway.

I don't know if they ultimately will or not, but their financial problems are well documented and not rumors. They lost over $1.5 billion in 2022 and they've been losing money for years, even during COVID when used car prices went through the roof. Their balance sheet is overloaded with debt, and their stock has lost over 90% of its value in the last year.
